Portraits - FAQ's

Where are the shoots taken place?

I photograph most of my clients in their own home, with the option to venture out into the garden or your local park if the weather allows. You can choose between a studio setup with flashes or a natural light option to suit the feel you want from session.

What if it rains?

Because a lot of my sessions are indoors, the weather is not really an issue. However, if you really had your heart set on shooting at a particular outdoor location and the weather is dreadful on the day, we may be able to reschedule subject to availability.

What areas do you cover?

I am based in Pembrokeshire and can travel to most of Carmarthenshire. I am available during the week and at weekends so we will agree a day and time that is suitable for you.

How much do you charge?

I charge a session fee of £50. Please note that this is to cover my time and does not include any print or digital images.

How do I book?

Simply fill in the contact form and I will get back to you with my suggested dates and all the information necessary to confirm your booking.

Will you tell us how to pose?

I will gently direct you into the right light and sometimes advise on how to sit/stand to get the most flattering angle. Once that’s done, I will let you interact and capture action as it unfolds.

What clothes shall we wear on our photo shoot?

Try to avoid clothes with branding over them as this can be distracting. It is also generally best to try to possibly co-ordinate with the group if with more than one. Mainly though, it is best for you to wear what makes you feel comfortable in order to get the best results for the photography shoot

Do you do larger family gatherings?

Yes, often the photo session is a present for the grandparents to celebrate a special birthday or anniversary. I do not charge extra for larger families and sharing the cost of a digital collection can be a very effective way of getting lovely memories for everyone involved.

Can we get the digital files of our images?

If you would like complete control over reprints and enlargements for yourself and your guests, you will be pleased to know you can purchase digital files of the entire shoot for £100.

The full-resolution images are given on a USB stick. In addition to this, we give all images in a reduced file size for emailing and social media and all images in black & white.

Do we own the copyright to the images?

You have a personal use licence meaning you can print and use the images as you wish i.e., sharing on social media etc. It is fairly common practice for photographs to remain under the copyright of the photographer. This simply means you would not be able to edit or sell the photographs.
All prices are available here, this ensures that you can tailor make your package to suit your needs and budget and be confident that there will not be any hidden extra costs.
